Description
Through the use of structured experiences, group discussions and practical activities, this dynamic, engaging and interactive workshop invites participants to understand the science of stress, burnout and build skills to thrive while caregiving. Participants will be given the opportunity to identify and evaluate their own strategies, select specific tools from a menu of activities, and create a personal self-care plan. The workshop allows for team-building activities that create a support network. Participants can leave the workshop with a clear plan and specific skills to assist them with everyday family caregiving.

Who Should Attend this Course?
Designed to appeal to anyone who is a family caregiver, caregivers caring for aging parents, caregivers caring for children and adults with development disabilities and want to improve their caregiving experience and develop a specific self-care plan.
This workshop can be customized to any agency or group that experienced a specific stressor, event, or difficult scenario (such as the death or recent diagnosis or unique pressures of care-giving workforce such as health care, social services)
